Nick Matthew is a professional squash player from Sheffield,
England.
Nick has achieved a highest Professional Squash Association (PSA)
World Ranking of five and highest English National
Ranking of one. Nick has won five PSA World Tour titles;
Dunlop British Open (2006), SSA Global Windy City (2004),
Atlanta Open (2001), Barcelona Open (1999)and the
Milo Open (2001).
In a distinguished junior career, Nick won the British Open
U19 Championship in 1999 and was a semi-finalist in the
World Junior Championships in 1998.
Nick has represented England at junior and senior
levels, captaining the U19 junior team to victory in 1999
European Junior Team Championships and was a key player in
England's 2005
World Championship
winning team.
In 2006 Nick reached the Tournament of Champions final,
finished 4th in the Commonwealth Games and became the first
ever player to simultaneously hold the British Open and
British Closed titles.

England Squash World Class Performance Programme, based in
Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.
